The different types of furnace

Our electric furnaces can be supplied with electricity as the only heating source or in combination with other sources in a domestic heating system. The main types of furnaces are as follows:

One-stage furnace

This is the most popular model. This type of heater has only two operating modes: on or off. Its installation is rather simple, but energetically speaking, it is not the most efficient model.

Two-stage furnace

Compared to single-stage furnaces, these models have a third operating mode where the unit operates at medium intensity. This function gives you more control over the ambient temperature of your property.

Modulating Furnace

Technologically speaking, these models are the most advanced, but also the most expensive. The variable speed of its motor allows this unit to provide constant heat without changing the temperature. This is the model that allows you to save the most energy.

All these models can be powered by electricity or another form of energy source. Also, if you replace your existing heating system with a new electric furnace, you can usually use the existing ducts with very few modifications. This will save you time and energy!
